Group 8 At the start of term three we were told that we are starting robotics . when we our group heared about this we though this was going to be so hard.. but when our group started building the robot we thought that it would have been easy but when we started building it, we realised that it was really hard, but we all managed to get it done and we were all reasdy to get started.
The people in are group are Anne-Marie, Jemma and Jacinta.
Our robot’s name is Kurby!!
Day 1:
Jacinta: today we all started to build our robot. since there is the our class we had Harrison, Max and Macka to help up though the making (thank goodness). My first job in this progress was to read to instuctions to the boys thank were making the robot, it was hard because we had to make the robot out of lego and guess it happens that i have never touched lego and i hav no idea have to do it but i hope after this experience i will have some idea. jemma: today we started building our robot and my first job was being the person to find all of the pieces and pass it to the person who was building the robot at first jacinta and i though that our group had to make it on our own and we were stressing out and new we were going to make 100s of mistakes, but i was so relived to hear that we had the boys to help us for me it was fun getting started and finding out how lego works, i found it an educational and fun experience. anne-marie: today we stared building our robot. i was so excited to finally get started. to start us off i was with jacinta, we were reading the instuctions and pices to the other people in the group. i found it really good fun and it was interesting and funny how the boys were fighting when one of them got something which was quite oftin. anyway we managed to get it done after about 2 sessions which was great we can finally get started yyyaaaayyyy!!!!!!. Day 4
Jacinta: we learnt how to do the 360 turn and we are testing it until we get it right
We learnt how to do a loop and how to turn the robot around to form a 360 turn. We tried different rotation, seconds, and we are trying to find the right one 6.3 seconds did not work Right turn, 1 rotations, full speed did not work We tried a 360 turn it did not work But after all that hard work we finally got it right and got top marks YAY!!
